Effluent Analysis and Investigation
A wide range of industrial processes
produce liquid waste, which may be discharged to sewer
or to controlled waters. The majority of such processes
are regulated by SEPA or the EA, who have the power to
set emission limits for contaminants in the discharge.
ACS are able to carry out emission monitoring programmes
to assess compliance with emission limits and to investigate
the level of risk caused by emissions.
ACS are also able to carry out studies into available
control measures to further reduce the level of contaminants
in emissions and to assess whether the Best Available
techniques are being utilised to control emissions.
